Where to Begin

Oh my, where do I begin something so dear to me as this blog and this study?

I'm beginning this post before the first meeting of our "Lord" study, thinking about all of the things I want to say ~ and the things I don't want to say~ all the while praying to God that the things that I say are his and not mine.

I want to be a faithful servant, I want to walk hand in hand with Christ, here, today, on this earth - and I can only through the power of the Holy Spirit, but only if I leave the old me behind and lean not on my own understanding.

This post is mostly personal - subject matter about night one will come after tonights meeting - but I wanted to preserve a special message for all of the participants in this study as well as myself. You see, I've reached a crossroads in my life - a time that I must dive head first into this pool of study and devotion to my one true Lord and God.

For each of the participants in this study - I learned from Beth Moore this past weekend that there are no chance meetings in life - there are choice meetings - and none of our meetings are ordained by anyone other than God. You have been God's choice in my life!

Our life experiences, personal histories, struggles and triumphs all mesh together to form this earthly being that we live in today. I love you all. I invited each of you and prayed that God would give me just the right mix of people so that I can learn not only about him, but about me and about you. You will notice I did not invite everyone I know ;-) nor did I invite some who you might have expected me to - I'm so glad you said yes to the invitation.

Climb up the stairs, bow your heads and let's worship God through our study and our time together.

I am SO looking forward to this!
